About Shirley Ann EI

I have lived permanently in France since 2010 and am as you would expect French speaking, additionally it is important to know that I am a non drinker and non smoker, Pfizer 5/5 vaccinated / EU vaccine certificate, I have a 10 year permanent Carte de Sejour and have extensive practical experience with a wide variety of animals both household and domesticated stock. I am also certified to handle category 1 and 2 dogs.

As I grew up animals always played an important role in my life and nothing has really changed since.

When I was five my Dad paid £50 for a Welsh pony for me, and as I took possession of him my Dad said “let’s see how long this lasts!”  God rest his soul he opened the door to a lifelong passion.  My experience with horses spans all disciplines of equestrian sport and county level competition in the UK.

In a professional capacity I have cared for companion and children’s ponies, riding horses, Andalucían dressage stallions and retired Olympic show jumpers, high level performance dressage horses. Every one of these comes with their own set of requirements and instructions which I observe without fail.

In my adult years I have enjoyed my own dogs;  Toy Yorkies, German Shepherds and working Border Collies; all very different personalities and challenges.  My horses have ranged from Shetland ponies and Fjords to Arabs, Warm bloods and Irish Sport horses so I am well versed in all the idiosyncrasies that each type can bring.

If livestock are your companions I also bring experience of sitting for Donkeys, Llamas, Alpacas, Sheep, Goats, Chickens and I also care for smaller furry friends like the family Guinea Pig or Hamster.

As an organised practical person I am able to take care of any unexpected events that may happen during a sit and I always travel with a full emergency kit which includes pet and horse first aid, wire cutters, torches, safety goggles and so much more!

I hope from reading this information that you will feel confident to entrust your pets and livestock to my care.

Thank you
